The health and safety of our staff and the agents, lenders and clients who we serve are now, and have always been, our priority. The current concern relative to the spread of the COVID-19 virus is, understandably, on everyone's mind. We are following this situation very closely and we want to take this opportunity to communicate our plan which we believe will assure you, our customers, we are prepared to continue to service and care for your closings. Our leadership team continues to monitor information surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, including the recent declaration of a national emergency. While our offices currently remain open for business, the health and safety of our team members and our customers remain our most important point of focus. To that end, we will continue to monitor this ever changing situation while we make the following our top priority in our continuing effort to keep our workplace safe for everyone:
- We have enhanced our cleaning and sanitizing measures in all areas of our offices, including the public-facing areas. We are following the latest CDC protocols which include directing our employees to stay home if, at any time, they begin to feel ill.
- We are routinely cleaning and sanitizing all frequently touched surfaces in our offices throughout the day. All pens used at closing will be new and will be discarded after each closing.
- Customers who feel ill should contact their escrow officer and make alternative plans if needed. We are prepared to accommodate closings in a manner that will keep our employees and our family of customers safe.
Please know that as a part of our ALTA Best Practices, we have been prepared for an event similar to this by giving our employees the ability to work remotely to continue serving our customers. We will continue to follow guidelines put forth by local, state and federal officials as part of our ongoing effort to help our employees and customers while ensuring the safety of everyone who may come into our offices during this time. Again, we understand the importance of addressing this situation. Be assured we are monitoring information from all the various sources we have outlined above as these events unfold.
